PALM SUNDAY EVENT
“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”
Every Palm Sunday, Towton Battlefield Society commemorates those men from the House of York and the House of Lancaster who fell on that fateful day. It is the major event in our calendar. Everyone is welcome to participate in the ceremony or come along and see what life was like in medieval Britain.
Here is a diary review of the 2011 event, from one of our members, on the 550th Anniversary of the battle.
