This year Palm Sunday Event will be held on the 29th March 2015, Guided Battlefield Walks will commence from approximately 9.30am and are approximately 4 miles (Warm clothing and stout footwear recommended).
With Craft Stalls, Falconry, Archery and Living History camp it will sure to be a good day.
Hi, I haven’t attended one of the Towton Events before. I’m particularly keen to do a battlefield walk. It would be a struggle to get there for 9:30 am, as I live in Manchester. Will there be multiple walks? Can you advise on schedule?
Many thanks. Tim C. member of the Battlefields Trust.
Hi Tim
There will be multiple walks between 9:30 and 10:45, so if you miss one you can go on the next. However they are very popular so come as early as you can, if a walk is “full” we have plenty of things to interest you untill the next one.
I very timely question Please see my latest post on walks we will be having this year to commemorate the battle. I’m afraid this will be a much simpler affair with no re-enactors village, battle or traders.
Will there be a battle re enactment please.Last years was excellent
Hi Alan – glad you enjoyed last year’s battle, because we’re planning to do a re-run of much the same scenario this year.
Please can you tell me what time or times the actual battle re-enactment will be?
Many thank
Julie Anderson
Hello Julie
We will have a living history camp with displays and demonstrations all day, however our battle finale “the fall of Lord Dacre” will be about 3:30.
Thank you!

I will be attending. What is the post code and will there be places to park? Only been once before and parked at the Crooked Billet.
Hello Gavin
The post code for Towton is LS24 9PB and we do have on site parking. No on street parking please !
Missed the March re-enactment as abroad. When will be the next one please?
Hello Victoria
The event is held every year on Palm Sunday itself. In 2016 this will be The 20th of March.
Is the above event still due to take place? If so do you have to book for the walk?
Time is the battle re -enactment sue?
