A A Gill, Patron, remembered

As many of you may already know, acclaimed restaurant critic and columnist A A Gill recently past away shortly after being diagnosed with cancer.
Adrian came to Towton for a full day in July 2008 to research an article later to make the front cover the Sunday Times on Sunday  August edition. It is a day fondly remembered by many of us. Adrian was handsome, charming, intelligent and with great style. He dined with us at the Crooked Billet and paid genuine interest in us and the battlefield, later becoming one of our patrons.
With his zest for life and people, I am sure he will be missed by many and would like to extend our condolences to his family and friends.
